Sound map

I guess this was better in person than in a photo. Shanty visitors (and some shanty folk, too) recorded sound clips from different shanties on those funny little silver recorders. Highlights include some pretty "great" singing from Norae and some actually great music from Black Box as well as a dramatic "Terror! Terror! Terror on the High Seas!!" from Nemo.

    I'm sorry I missed out on this -- i heard it was great! Do you still have the recordings? Maybe we could re-record them and post 'em? Let me know - I might be able to do it on my laptop.

    tumblr has a way you can post sounds! does mapshanty have a way? We could simply make a VERY THRILLING youtube video.
