good news!
I met with Josh Hall, the President of Hudson Map Company, today. He will donate a large Twin Cities map for our project! I want to make sure that we get the map that will most useful for us. I'm thinking that this one is best: http://www.hudsonmap.com/pages/tc_wall_map.html , but there are other options with larger coverage and less detail.
What do you all think?
Hudson is running a promotion right now where they will accept trade-ins of older atlas editions for a discount on their newest atlas and I told him we could display their postcards that advertise that deal as a way to recognize Hudson's contribution to our map shanty.
Again, how do people feel about this?
Also, no plywood on craigslist but I'm playing phone tag with a woman who posted that she had free plywood on the twin cities freemarket website, so I'll keep you all posted.

That's really amazing. I think its a good idea to get support from a local company. That's a really huge map. I'm all about it.

Thank you! thank you! thank you for following up on this! I think the huge map would be such a great addition to our space/project. I really appreciate your effort.
Just speaking for myself but I think it is completely reasonable to put out some of their postcards.
