Hi all,

Now that our shanty is all built and I can stop worrying about some construction disaster, I'm getting excited about hanging out at the shanty!

Do we have a plan for who will staff the shanty when? Can we use the google calendar to sign up? (I haven't used google calendars much so I don't know how they work.) I would like to work this weekend ("Transportation"
weekend). I will, however, need a ride ... so can I team up with someone with a car?

What needs to be done to prepare? I have some ideas and if someone wants to chat about this first weekend, let me know.

Yay to everyone who helped construct the shanty! I was super excited about how quick it went up on the ice last Sunday.

    Hey All,

    I have a few resources I have been collecting for the shanty (mostly maps & some books) and I'm wondering what to do with them. I'd love to have them in the shanty for each weekend, but I'm worried about water damage and people walking off with things. Any ideas about how we are going to deal with 'stuff' in the shanties? Can we have people bring home things at the end of the weekend/hand them off to whomever is staffing the next weekend?

    I guess this will be easier to figure out once we know who is staffing which weekend too.

    Google Calendar = awesome. Let's use it. Who wants to start one?

    Hey everyone, I just created 9:30 - 5 slots on all of the weekends and invited everyone. Hopefully it wasn't too annoying to get all of the separate invites.

    Will this work to track how many people will be there each weekend and when? Lemme know!

    Google Calendar is good. Just remember, when looking at the calendar section of mapshanty, you have to use the agenda dropdown to see our staff calendar and not the overall Art Shanty calendar.
    Also, im waiting to hear back about the official time for the shanties on sunday. I cant remember if it is 10-5 Sat and Sunday or 12-5 on Sundays. I asked David Pittman and will get back to you all with confirmation. Unless someone else remembers...

    Lets use the bookshelf in there and take things home at the end of the day. That's the best plan.
