Construction Progress
Thursday night (12/18) was a success & the shanty is starting to take shape. The 8 lower panels have been attached to each other and the base - We have walls!
Saturday (12/20) was not as successful :( Due to weather and other circumstances, Emily & I arrived at the factory on Saturday around 11 and then (unexpectedly) had to leave at noon. If anyone else came before or after, I apologize for the inconvenience!
Lesley & I took advantage of the warmer weather last Friday (12/26) and painted the outside of the lower panels. We choose a map-like blue color, that should look good with our (red & white?) arrow. We have an idea to paint white lat/long lines over the blue -- painting the cube sort of like it was a sphere -- what do you all think of that idea?
I wish I had pictures to post -- it is really exciting to see this take shape! The only picture I have for you today is the paint color. We choose "Blue Bayou".
